WHO WE ARE

The Raleigh-Wake Reading Association is a local council of the North Carolina Reading Association.  As such, the
Raleigh-Wake Reading Association provides its members with opportunities to network with those interested in literacy, to participate in professional development training and activities, and to volunteer in community service projects while striving to promote literacy, improve reading instruction, and encourage a life-long reading habit in children and adults.  Raleigh-Wake Reading Association and the NCRA are affiliated with the International Literacy Association's (formerly IRA) network of over 1200 state, provincial, local, and national councils and affiliates.
